Government Analyst I at the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Food, Nutrition and Wellness division, responsible for coordinating and monitoring statewide ordering, receipt, and distribution of USDA foods for the National School Lunch Program. The role involves managing inventory levels, identifying excess food balances, approving transfers between agencies, completing state and federal reporting, and providing direction to contractors and recipient agencies. This is an internal-only opportunity limited to current employees of the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

Key qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 7 years of professional/nonprofessional experience in systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, or administrative work; OR bachelor's degree plus
• Valid Driver's License required
• Knowledge of principles and practices of food distribution
• Skill in operating personal computer with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software
• Ability to prepare and maintain detailed records, files, and reports
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
