Job summary

CASFER at Texas Tech University seeks an Industry and Innovation Director to lead the Innovation Ecosystem, strengthen industry partnerships, and drive commercialization strategy. You will oversee member growth, sponsored research revenue, and the technology-transfer roadmap with minimal direction.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering/STEM and at least five years of progressive management experience, plus ability to navigate regulatory/compliance requirements for critical infrastructure

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or STEM-related field required.
• Five years of progressively responsible management experience.
• Must pass comprehensive background check and comply with security/compliance reviews.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises operations of CASFER’s Innovation Ecosystem unit, including budgeting and policy implementation.
• Lead sustainability, revenue growth, and industry engagement initiatives.
• Develop business plans, commercialization strategies, and technology transfer activities.
• Engage with university, industry, and government partners to advance research to market.
