Job summary

Hynes Industries Inc is seeking a Senior Buyer to oversee indirect procurement across three manufacturing locations, including MRO, safety, repairs, and capital equipment.

You will drive supplier selection, bid processes, contracts, and insurance certificates while ensuring compliance with company policies and achieving cost efficiencies.

Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and Finance to optimize spend, delivery performance, and vendor results across all sites.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in the procurement of indirect materials and services in a manufacturing environment; metals or heavy-industrial experience preferred.
• APICS, CPIM, or CPSM certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Check requisitions for completeness and clarity and obtain missing information.
• Identify and select suppliers based on price, quality, and service; request bids and negotiate contracts.
• Manage approximately $17 million in annual indirect spend and monitor supplier performance.
• Prepare purchase orders and ensure accuracy; review acknowledgements and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Machine Shop, Engineering, Quality, and Finance across three plant locations.
