Job summary

Morrison Foerster in San Diego seeks Associate Contracts & Compliance Counsel on the Conflicts & New Business team. The role provides in-house support, reviewing OCGs and standard engagement letters, and negotiating terms with clients and partners to improve review processes.

You will work with the Assistant General Counsel, contribute to training, and help implement risk management policies while developing into an independent negotiator.

Qualifications

• J.D. and admission to practice in a US jurisdiction, California strongly preferred.
• One to two years of practical experience, including contract review and direct client interaction.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.
• Familiarity with standard business software required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to client OCGs, engagement letters and related documents.
• Support negotiation of OCG and engagement letter provisions and amendments.
• Assist in improving OCG review and compliance processes within the firm.
