Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Over ten years of HR work related experience; with at least three years’ experience in leading a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategy development, organizational design, and change management efforts.
  • Experience working with, influencing, and credibly advising senior leaders in HR matters.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; analytical and problem-solving skills; organizational ability; facilitation skills; presentation skills.
  • Proven experience developing and deploying HR and Talent KPIs and dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and deployment of Talent and HR strategies that align to the strategies and goals of the functional divisions you directly partner with.
  • Develop strong customer relationships with the senior leadership team and provide effective, value-added support to the leadership team.
  • Implement a comprehensive HR strategy that enhances employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
  • Provide leadership in organizational development, organizational design, and change management.
  • Take ownership of talent management tasks such as talent identification, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Own the talent pool and ensure continuous improvement of the pipeline.
  • Foster a best-practice approach to people management and uphold Moog culture and philosophy.
  • Take ownership of employee metrics and data integrity; use data to measure performance and inform strategies.
  • Lead BAU activities and participate in group-wide HR projects; collaborate with HR COEs.
  • Travel approximately 25% globally to engage with leaders.

This role is located in East Aurora, NY and reports to the Commercial Aircraft Group VP, Human Resources.As Strategic Human Resources Business Partner , you will partner with senior leaders who are responsible for leading functional divisions across Commercial Aircraft Group.You will proactively identify, define, and implement appropriate HR, Talent, and Organizational Design strategies to enable the business to increase performance and lead and manage the people management agenda. Understand the strategic business objectives and contribute to the creation, execution and ongoing development and delivery of that strategy.Implement a comprehensive HR strategy that enhances employee engagement, supports organizational effectiveness, and enables the successful execution of the overall business strategy.Provide leadership and expertise in organizational development, organizational design, and change management. Continuously review the organization effectiveness and identify / implement changes needed to ensure the organization is set up to succeed.Take ownership and lead the roll out (& subsequent actions) of critical talent management tasks such as the talent identification process (talent matrix / talent profile), performance management process and succession planning process. Own the talent pool and ensure that the talent pipeline and bench strength is continuously improved to meet future business needs.Foster a best practice approach to people management, acting as coach, facilitator, and role model. Act as the guardian of the Moog Culture and Philosophy.Take ownership and proactively manage and control employee metrics and ensure that data integrity standards are upheld. Leverage talent data to measure against performance and financial goals of the division and develop strategies to enable the Long-Range Plan.Take ownership of the successful delivery and implementation of ‘business as usual’ activities. Lead Group wide or Moog wide projects that may have a global impact or participate in a significant Group wide or Moog wide project representing either HR or their business unit.Collaborate and work in partnership with other HR areas (HR Operations, HR IT, Talent, and Reward CoEs), in the development and continual improvement of policies, processes and initiatives.
