Job summary

State of Wisconsin seeks a Human Resources Policy and Open Records Coordinator to support the DHS division with HR policy coordination and records management. The role offers a hybrid schedule with core hours 9am–3pm, and up to 5 remote days weekly, with occasional reporting to the DHS State Office Building in Madison.

The position emphasizes coordinating policy development, maintaining HR web content, and handling Open Records Requests under Wis. Stat.

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting and analyzing complex information such as rules, policies, laws, or procedures.
• Experience drafting or revising professional correspondence such as policies, legal documents, or procedure documents.
• Experience consulting or providing technical assistance to others in the interpretation of policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate HR policy development and updates across multiple program areas.
• Manage Open Records Requests (ORR) including logging, tracking, and drafting responses.
• Maintain and update the agency HR web content following policy changes or approvals.
• Coordinate review workflows and communicate changes to staff to ensure compliance and accessibility.
