Job summary

The Regents of the University of California on behalf of their Los Angeles Campus is seeking an HR Generalist 3 to partner with client departments, lead payroll operations, and ensure data integrity across the employee lifecycle. This on-site/off-site hybrid role requires strong policy guidance, an ability to resolve complex payroll issues, and collaboration with UCPath and campus partners.

Candidates should have HR consulting experience in large organizations, proficiency with HRIS and payroll

Qualifications

• Experience providing HR consultation and operational support within a complex organization.
• Experience administering employment-related processes, onboarding, or employee services.
• Ability to advise managers and staff on HR policies and procedures.
• Ability to coordinate priorities and deliver solutions in a client-service environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic HR partner to departments, delivering payroll and personnel transactions support.
• Audit UCPath transactions, reconcile bi-weekly/monthly payroll, and resolve discrepancies.
• Lead HR & Payroll Operations Center initiatives and develop SOPs.
• Provide training on Time & Attendance systems and HR processes to staff.
