BCLP is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our Chicago team, aligning people strategies with firm goals and working closely with leaders to drive value across regions.

The role focuses on strategic partnering, workforce planning, capability development, ER risk management, change initiatives, and a data-informed approach to people decisions, supporting a high-performance, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Manager, ideally within legal or professional services.
• Strong understanding of employment legislation and the ability to apply policy and legal principles consistently and practically.
• Demonstrated experience handling complex ER matters, managing change, and supporting organizational design.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Partnering & Firm Alignment – act as a strategic HR partner to leaders, aligning people strategy with business priorities and long-term firm goals.
• Talent, Workforce Planning & Capability Development – lead workforce planning and talent management initiatives, including succession planning, internal mobility, and leadership development.
• Employee Relations & Risk Management – oversee complex ER matters, ensuring fair outcomes and compliance with policy and employment law.
• Organization Effectiveness & Change – lead or support organizational change initiatives and apply structured change management methods.
• Culture, Inclusion & Collaboration with HR Centers of Expertise – champion an inclusive, high-performance culture and collaborate with cross-functional HR teams.
• People Analytics & Insights – use analytics to influence decisions and improve engagement and employee experience.
• Communication & Stakeholder Management – build trusted relationships with senior leaders and facilitate effective two-way communication.
