Job summary

Landscape Logic seeks a hands-on Human Resources Manager in Charlevoix, MI. This role handles day-to-day HR work from recruiting and onboarding to employee relations, benefits, compliance, and separation, while guiding strategy and policy with a visible, approachable leadership style.

The position focuses on executing HR programs, maintaining records, and ensuring timely, accurate administration of HR processes for both field and office staff.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years in HR, recruiting, or related work preferred.
• Strong organization, communication, and attention to detail.
• Experience with H-2B or seasonal immigration processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, post jobs, communicate with applicants, interview, hire, onboard, orient, and separate employees.
• Own and administer the H-2B program, including schedules, documentation, compliance, and coordination with attorneys and agencies.
• Maintain complete employee files, HR systems, required records, and government reporting.
• Administer benefits, PTO, leave, EAP, and other HR programs; answer employee questions and resolve routine issues.
• Work with managers and employees on performance, attendance, workplace concerns, corrective action, and policy questions.
• Coordinate training, performance reviews, employee development, and HR initiatives.
• Strengthen engagement and culture by being present, responsive, fair, and addressing issues directly.
• Stay current on employment requirements, protect confidentiality, and follow company policies and values.
