Job summary

Mid-Willamette Valley Community Action Agency is seeking an experienced HR Manager to provide strategic support across the organization. You will assist with investigations, policy interpretation, payroll data, and HR system optimization, while ensuring compliant practices in a fast-paced environment, including shelter settings and travel between sites.

You will partner with program management and staff to improve relations, drive retention, and implement HR initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field plus 4 years HR management experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience/certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Business Units in complex HR matters including investigations, corrective actions, pay, data analysis, systems, policies and procedures.
• Support HR team and programs in executing key HR functions with integrity across the organization.
• Travel between agency and community sites as needed to meet program and client needs.
• Promote labor law compliance and application of HR best practices.
• Handle payroll/payroll data entry and HR system transactions (e.g., Paycom).
• Assist with hiring processes, such as screening and onboarding; conduct exit analyses and turnover reviews.
• Lead process improvements to increase efficiency and automate tasks.
