Job summary

Hyundai Translead in Joliet, IL seeks a Director of Human Resources to lead HR for the manufacturing operation, ensuring people, systems, and employee relations foundations align with business goals.

The role delivers HR solutions across employee relations, talent acquisition partnership, workforce planning, compliance, performance management, organizational effectiveness, and leader coaching, partnering with plant leadership and corporate HR to implement programs and support operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 12 years of progressive HR experience, with leadership on manufacturing sites.
• Proven labor/employee relations expertise and compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic HR partner to manufacturing leadership.
• Lead labor/employee relations and risk assessments.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition for workforce planning, requisition strategy, selection processes, and hiring readiness.
• Ensure HR compliance with applicable laws; support investigations and corrective actions.
• Coach leaders on performance management and development planning.
• Oversee HR data governance and audit-ready records.
