Job summary

Denver Public Schools seeks an experienced HR Business Partner to deliver end-to-end HR services for designated departments. You will collaborate with central office leadership, provide counsel on a broad range of HR issues, and lead professional development for principals on leadership and HR topics.

You will work with unions, develop and refine HR policies, and support central office programs to improve student outcomes while fostering equity and collaboration across the district.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s or relevant work experience required.
• Three years of HR Business Partner or related experience.
• Experience reading, writing, and interpreting bargaining agreements and contracts.
• Extensive partnering with the private sector business community.
• Experience with HRIS systems and contributing to policy development.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner in strategy development; provide advice to managers and employees.
• Counsel central office managers and directors on HR issues.
• Plan and facilitate professional development for principals on leadership and HR topics.
• Identify gaps in HR policies and contribute to policy development.
• Consult with Trade Union Officials on local and companywide issues.
• Provide HRBP support to Central Office areas.
• Manage staff and programs to improve central office performance.
• Collaborate with Superintendent’s Cabinet and community to achieve district goals.
