Job summary

Ignite Human Capital LLC collaborates with a growing global medical device organization to recruit a Strategic HR Business Partner in Southern California. This high-impact role partners with the executive team to design organizational design, talent strategy, and the people side of AI adoption.

The successful candidate will lead change at scale, translate business strategy into people initiatives, and shape leadership development while driving measurable results.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with Sr. Manager or Director level in a strategic HRBP role
• Experience supporting senior leaders in a large, complex enterprise
• Proven change management, organizational development, or learning and development experience
• Demonstrated comfort with AI and emerging technology and helping teams adopt new tools
• Strong executive presence and ability to influence at the senior leadership level
• Ability to work in Southern California (San Diego, Orange County, or Los Angeles)
• Genuine enthusiasm for AI and emerging technology, and the ability to help others embrace it

Strategic HR Business Partner

Location: Southern California (San Diego, Orange County, or Los Angeles)
Compensation: $175,000 – $225,000 base, DOE

This is not a traditional HRBP role. The right person will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, drive organizational change at scale, and bring fresh thinking to how people, processes, and technology come together.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Psychology, or a related field
• 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with recent experience at the Sr. Manager or Director level (or equivalent) in a strategic HRBP role
• Genuine enthusiasm for AI and emerging technology, and the ability to help others embrace it
• Experience supporting senior leaders in a large, complex, enterprise-scale organization
• A proven track record leading change through change management, organizational development, or learning and development, OR experience leading change or transformation work at a major consulting firm
• Demonstrated comfort with AI and emerging technology, with experience helping teams adopt new tools and ways of working
• Strong executive presence and the ability to influence, challenge, and build trust at the senior leadership level
• Ability to work in Southern California (San Diego, Orange County, or Los Angeles)

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical device, life sciences, or other highly regulated industry experience
• Experience in a global or matrixed organization
• Advanced degree (MBA, MS in HR or Organizational Development) or HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR)
• Formal change management certification (Prosci or similar)
