Job summary

Virginia Housing is seeking a Strategic Housing Officer to drive project development, community lending, and partnerships across the Commonwealth. You will collaborate with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders to respond to evolving housing needs while building relationships with key organizations in Virginia.

This role reports to the Innsbrook office in Glen Allen, VA and requires a strong background in affordable housing finance, policy analysis, and cross-organizational collaboration,

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in affordable housing, community development, finance, or related field.
• Degree in public administration, urban planning, finance, business, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of affordable housing finance, programs, and policy landscape.
• Ability to review market studies and assess housing conditions.

• Support project development, community lending, and partnership efforts.
• Build and maintain relationships with key organizations and stakeholders.
• Help expand housing opportunities for low- and moderate-income households.
