Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts seeks an experienced Director of Sales for the Beacon Hotel at Embassy Row in Washington, DC. You will lead all sales efforts across room, banquet, catering, and events to achieve revenue targets and optimize the hotel’s market mix.

You will manage a team, drive prospects and contracts, and develop strategic plans to maximize business from corporate, embassy, and travel segments. The role requires strong leadership and deep hospitality industry knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sales and marketing leadership in hotel or hospitality industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; Delphi knowledge.
• Ability to recruit, train, and motivate sales staff.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Solicit new and existing accounts to meet revenue goals through prospecting and outside sales.
• Direct the sales team to maximize group, transient, and catering revenue.
• Develop annual business plans, budgets, and forecasts.
• Coordinate market research and develop strategies.
• Represent the hotel in community and industry groups.
