Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks a strategic Director of Finance to transform financial insight into action for the Hawaii property. The role reports to the General Manager and provides financial leadership, planning, and operational support to drive profitability and key priorities across ownership, management, colleagues, and guests.

The Director will oversee all financial operations of the hotel, ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and adherence to Hyatt standards, guiding decision-making

Qualifications

• Six or more years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, preferably within hospitality.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Experience leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting operations, and management reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the hotel's financial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management processes.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive annual business plan aligned with hotel, ownership, and organizational objectives.
• Prepare, review, and present accurate monthly and annual financial statements and operational reports.
• Analyze financial results, identify trends and risks, and provide clear variance explanations and recommendations to hotel leadership.
• Engage department leaders in understanding financial performance, accountability, and corrective action planning.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, enhance operational efficiency, control costs, and increase revenue.
• Oversee hotel and off-site accounting functions to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and reporting deliverables.
• Oversee cash management, working capital, capital planning, and financial resource allocation.
• Provide financial analysis and decision support for capital investments, business initiatives, contracts, and operational strategies.
