Job summary

Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in Hospitality Finance/Accounting and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. This role involves supervising a team and preparing various financial statements and reports.

Qualifications

• At least 5 or more years of Hospitality Finance/Accounting experience.
• Prior Controller or Director of Finance experience, preferably at a premium‑branded Hotel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance or Accounting.
• Must supervise 2 or more employees.
• Must be proficient in Windows, company‑approved spreadsheets, and word processing, and in the operation of all hotel‑specific systems.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage and communicate cash flow‑related issues.
• Monitor hotel revenues and expenses.
• Create annual budgets and monthly variance analysis.
• Ensure hotels' compliance with all regulatory licenses and permits.
• Analyze financial data and operations for management advice.
• Comply with Standard Accounting policies and procedures.
• Establish and audit all internal financial controls.
• Complete all internal and external financial audits.
• Hire, train, supervise, and develop staff.
• Maintain compliance with Highgate Hotels' standards and regulations.
• Prepare all financial reports according to requirements.
• Interact with Executive Committee members on property operations.
• Monitor compliance with required report deadlines.
• Monitor daily operating report production.
• Execute other special projects and responsibilities.
