Job summary

UF Health in Gainesville seeks a Manager of Health Information Management to lead enterprise-wide HIM functions, including ROI, chart integrity, patient identity, and record completion. You will ensure EHR data accuracy, privacy, and regulatory compliance across hospitals and practices, directing a team of HIM professionals and coordinating with Epic, privacy, and revenue cycle teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in health information management, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
Master’s degree preferred.
Ten (10) years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Experience with Release of Information, chart correction, medical record integrity, and regulatory compliance programs.
Experience with an integrated healthcare delivery system, academic medical center, or multi-hospital environment.
Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR), Epic required.

Responsibilities

Oversee enterprise-wide HIM functions including ROI, chart correction, patient identity, and record completion.
Ensure accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, accessibility, and legal compliance of EHR across UF Health entities.
Lead a team of HIM professionals and coordinate with Epic, privacy, compliance, and revenue cycle teams.
Develop standardized enterprise processes to support patient safety and regulatory compliance.
Lead process improvements and change management to optimize HIM operations.
