Job summary

Augusta University is seeking a Buyer 2 to manage sourcing, pricing, and award of purchase orders for administrative, IT, HR, facilities, public safety, and more. You will review requisitions, determine sourcing options, and ensure best value while complying with state policies.

As a primary buyer and backup for Dental Medicine and Nursing, you will conduct market research, prepare bid documents, negotiate with vendors, and track orders to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two years in supply management, materials management, purchasing, or logistics.
• Or two years of college with five years in supply management, materials management, purchasing, or logistics.
• High school diploma with eight years in supply management, materials management, purchasing or logistics.

Responsibilities

• Source, Price, and Award Purchase Orders
• Resolve problems for customers and vendors
• Prepare cost analyses for capital purchases
• Prepare and review bid documents
• Process change orders
• Assist College of Dental Medicine Buyer and College of Nursing Buyer
• Coordinate verification of receipts for items and capital equipment
• Perform all other related duties
