Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP in the US seeks a High Net Worth Tax Principal to lead the private wealth practice, advising wealthy individuals, family offices, and closely held businesses on strategic income, trust, estate and gift tax planning.

You will mentor staff, partner with leadership, and drive client development while delivering proactive tax planning and compliance. CPA or JD required; 10+ years of leadership in tax in a public firm; US work eligibility.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years of tax planning and consulting for wealthy individuals and family offices.
• Experience leading a tax practice in a public accounting firm.
• CPA or JD required; eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead compliance and consulting services to high-net-worth individuals and family offices; review complex tax returns.
• Deliver proactive tax planning including estate, gift, charitable planning and generation skipping tax.
• Advise on business succession planning and client relationship management.
• Stay up-to-date on tax trends and authorities; mentor staff and grow the team.
• Manage engagements, staffing, billing and profitability targets.
• Network to acquire new clients and projects; participate in firm learning programs.
• Support team development in line with firm care and teach philosophy.
