Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an IT Program Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate inter-related IT projects and programs, aligning initiatives with the organization’s strategic goals and working with IT leadership and executives to ensure timely delivery within budget.

Responsibilities include leading governance, prioritizing projects, coaching PMO teams, and maintaining program documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline with an information technology focus.
• Eight years of successful experience implementing IT multi-project activities, preferably in a healthcare environment.
• PMP - Certified Project Management Professional (PMI) and PROSCI certifications preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively and coach PMO standards.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and coordinates related IT projects and programs to meet strategic goals.
• Leads program-related meetings with authority and gains consensus on outcomes.
• Coaches operational leaders on PMO standards for operational projects.
• Reviews inter-related projects to determine priority, time frame, and staffing needs.
• Creates program documents and reports to support governance and decision making.
