Job summary

Boston MedFlight seeks an experienced Controller to lead accounting operations and financial reporting across the organization. Reporting to the CFO, this role drives strategic financial insight, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning in a healthcare nonprofit setting.

The ideal candidate brings 12-15+ years of progressive finance experience, CPA certification, and strong communication skills to influence senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related field; Master’s preferred.
• CPA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Deliver actionable financial analysis and strategic insights.
• Develop and monitor KPIs to assess financial/operational performance.
• Ensure internal controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee cash flow, liquidity, and capital allocation.
• Partner with service lines and operational leaders to support initiatives.
• Assist CFO in vendor negotiations and cost optimization.
• Provide leadership to the Finance team and liaise with auditors.
