Job summary

Boston MedFlight is seeking a high-impact Controller to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic financial planning in a nonprofit healthcare setting. You will balance oversight with hands-on leadership and partner with executive leadership to drive cost optimization and compliance.

The role requires CPA, 12-15+ years of progressive finance experience, and expertise in patient revenue cycles, financial modeling, and reporting.

Qualifications

CPA certification required.
12-15+ years of progressive finance experience including leadership roles.
Healthcare finance experience and knowledge of patient revenue cycles.
Strong financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis skills.

Responsibilities

Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with accuracy and compliance.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning with CFO and senior leadership.
Deliver actionable financial analysis and strategic insights to executives.
Develop and monitor KPIs to assess financial and operational performance.
Ensure internal controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Oversee cash flow, liquidity, and capital allocation strategies.
Partner cross-functionally to support initiatives, cost optimization.
Ensure compliance with leases, mortgages, contracts, and covenants.
Assist in financial aspects of contracts and vendor negotiations.
Provide leadership to Finance team and ensure audit readiness.
