Job summary

Chicago Behavioral Hospital in Des Plaines, IL seeks an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead financial strategy and operations. This executive will advise the CEO, oversee FP&A, accounting, compliance, and reporting, and guide capital planning and growth efforts.

The successful candidate will have 7–10 years of progressive financial leadership in healthcare, with strong budgeting, forecasting, and leadership capabilities. Comprehensive benefits and performance-based bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
• Experience in psychiatric/behavioral health or healthcare preferred.
• Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and audits.
• Excellent leadership and executive presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the hospital's financial strategy with the CEO.
• Present financial, operational, and tax strategy recommendations.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A activities.
• Oversee cash flow, treasury, working capital, and controls.
• Direct accounting, reporting, and annual audit processes.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting.
• Oversee Accounting, Business Office, and IT departments.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Support growth initiatives and capital planning.
