Job summary

Bayer is seeking a National Account Director - Health Systems to drive sales and market growth with major healthcare systems, IDNs, and organized customers across the United States.

The role partners with Regional Associate Directors, Area VPs, and cross-functional teams to execute strategy, train staff, and expand product adoption while navigating formulary and reimbursement processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field (Advanced degree preferred).
• Experience with hospitals, health systems, integrated delivery networks (IDNs).
• Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical sales with direct experience in hospitals/health systems in an account management capacity.
• Proven record of success in formulary and pathway adoption within health systems or hospital environments.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel 25-50% regionally and nationally.
• Advanced knowledge in heart failure relevant to the company’s product portfolio (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop a strategic account sales plan to achieve targets within nationally targeted health systems and hospital networks.
• Identify opportunities to grow product adoption in health systems and formulate winning approaches.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to adjust sales strategies.
• Lead and coach Regional Associate Directors to achieve sales objectives.
• Organize training sessions to improve product knowledge and compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage in conferences and stakeholder meetings.
