Job summary

Lowenstein Sandler LLP in New York and nearby offices seeks a Director of PR & Communications to develop and execute an integrated communications program. You will lead media relations, thought leadership, and content strategy while advising firm leadership on messaging and reputation management.

The role requires a decade of PR experience, executive presence, and strong writing. It is a hybrid, full-time position with cross-office collaboration and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field.
• 10+ years in PR, communications, or journalism; law firm or professional services experience preferred.
• Proven success developing and executing strategic PR programs with measurable results.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
• Strong media relationships and track record of securing high-impact coverage.
• Strategic thinker aligning communications with business goals.
• Executive presence and ability to advise senior stakeholders.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Collaborative, client-service oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive PR and communications strategy aligned with the firm’s plan and objectives.
• Advise firm leadership on communications strategy, messaging, and reputational considerations.
• Lead crisis communications planning and response for sensitive or high-impact firm matters.
• Develop messaging frameworks that differentiate the firm’s practices, industries, and lawyers.
• Partner with leadership to elevate priority initiatives and thought leadership.
• Track, analyze, and report PR performance to refine strategies.
