Uber is seeking a Strategic Operations Manager in Chicago to drive high-priority initiatives from strategy through execution and measurement within its Grocery & Retail group. The role emphasizes analytics, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration with Category Growth and Marketing to scale initiatives and improve customer/merchant experiences.

You will build dashboards, turn data into insights, and own end-to-end programs while navigating ambiguity and delivering results.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in analytics, operations, strategy, business intelligence, project management, or related field.
• Strong SQL proficiency — comfortable writing queries independently to analyze business performance and answer questions.

Responsibilities

• Own high-priority initiatives end-to-end — define the problem, build a plan, coordinate stakeholders, drive execution, and measure outcomes
• Build and maintain reporting and dashboards — create trusted views of performance, support recurring business reviews, and help the team understand what is happening and why
• Turn data into insights and action — analyze performance trends, identify opportunities, and synthesize findings into clear recommendations
• Spot gaps and build solutions — identify where measurement, process, or operating structure is missing or broken, then help create the framework needed to close it
• Collaborate cross-functionally — work across teams including Category, Growth, and Marketing to translate business priorities into action, align stakeholders, and unblock execution
