Job summary

Knobelsdorff (KE) seeks an experienced business development professional to expand our industrial electrical construction presence. You will build strategic customer relationships, pursue new projects, and guide opportunities from engagement to development, supporting safe, high-quality project delivery.

You will develop account strategies, collaborate with estimating and operations, and travel regularly to customer facilities and industry events to grow KE's market presence and customer

Qualifications

• 5+ years in industrial construction, sales, BD, estimating, or related roles.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.
• Willingness to travel regularly to facilities, sites and events.
• Strong communication and CRM skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive business growth in power generation, grain, cement markets.
• Build relationships with facility owners, engineers, contractors, suppliers.
• Identify opportunities including plant expansions and upgrades.
• Lead early discussions on industrial electrical systems and design-build.
• Develop account strategies and maintain engagement through cycles.
• Collaborate with teams to develop proposals and pursuits.
• Qualify opportunities based on fit, scope, schedule and pricing.
• Support RFP/RFQ responses and customer presentations.
• Represent KE at industry events and maintain CRM records.
• Ensure smooth handoffs and ongoing customer relationships.
