Job summary

VSP Vision Care is seeking an experienced strategist to lead enterprise and business-unit strategies, supporting CEO and executive team to improve profit and competitive position.

You will collaborate with leaders to define initiatives, track metrics, and participate in annual planning. This role requires deep industry knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, marketing, statistics, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in corporate strategy, strategic planning, corporate development, strategy or management consulting, research, data analytics, market analysis, or competitive intelligence.
• Working knowledge and experience in the vision, healthcare or insurance industry.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on simplicity of messaging.
• Highly proficient in Power Point.
• Ability to use logic and think through future implications.
• Proven ability and willingness to work through details and execute.
• Personal and professional integrity with the ability to preserve confidentiality.
• Desire to dig in to all areas of the business to help identify opportunities and outline solutions, metrics, etc. to move the business forward.
• Possess energy and enthusiasm for new ideas.
• For remote/hybrid roles, must engage effectively in virtual environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support enterprise, pillar, and line of business (LOB) strategies.
• Support the development of longer-term strategic and business plans, and participates in the annual operational planning process.
• Coordinate and prepare content for Board of Directors and Committee meetings.
• Access, understand, and develop insights on the vision care industry, healthcare, and related trends.
• Collaborate with business leaders to identify and define strategic initiatives with measurable impact.
• Work with internal data and analytics to develop metrics to measure progress against goals.
