Job summary

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience, or Associate's degree and 7+ years of related experience.
• Operational finance management and grant management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the financial and business operations manager for the assigned portfolio with $5m–$7m annual direct spending.
• Provide multi-institution, complex proposal development for collaborative research and clinical trials grants and contracts.
• Manage salary spend across the portfolio and determine staffing based on grant budgets.
• Present the school of medicine's position on compliant management, billing and payments for shared research
• Prepare administrative reports for sponsoring agencies and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Participate in leadership teams to develop departmental strategy and cross-train with HR and purchasing.
