Job summary

Tiger Foundation in New York City is seeking a thoughtful Program Officer to help us optimize grants that advance economic mobility for low-income communities. You will manage a portion of our grant portfolio and collaborate with colleagues to shape funding strategies and strengthen partnerships across programs.

The role emphasizes rigorous analysis of proposals, site visits, and clear grant recommendations presented at board meetings.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant work experience with progressive levels of responsibility in grantmaking or related field.
• Strong familiarity with the nonprofit sector in NYC, especially in education, workforce development, family support.
• Master’s degree in a related field or demonstrated equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Grant portfolio analysis and management, including proposal screening and evaluating programmatic and financial information.
• Conduct site visits and facilitate learning to inform board grant recommendations.
• Draft evaluations and present grant recommendations at board meetings.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to establish funding priorities and manage the annual budget.
• Build relationships with nonprofits and represent the Foundation at external meetings.
