Job summary

Jewish Family Service of Metropolitan Detroit is seeking a Grants Manager to join the Development team. You will work with the Chief Philanthropy Officer and Chief Program Officers to refine funding models, identify new sources of support, and streamline grant processes.

Responsibilities include grant writing, timely submission of proposals and progress reports, budget reviews with Finance, compliance, and data collection for funders.

Qualifications

• Experience in nonprofit grant management.
• Bachelor's degree in business management, communication, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Grant Writing – Identifies potential funding sources and develops grant proposals in partnership with program directors.
• Management – Ensures grant proposals and reports are developed and submitted timely, oversees grant applications and progress reports, and ensures compliance.
• Program Support – Works with senior staff to identify community needs, develop a funding plan, and monitor grant progress.
• Finance Support – Coordinates timely submission of grant invoices and budgets, supports budget compliance, and reviews expenditures.
• Compliance & Data – Works with stakeholders to ensure funder recognition data collection for reporting.
• Security and Privacy – Adheres to agency privacy, safety and security policies.
• Employee Philanthropy – Participates in agency and partner philanthropic activities.
• Mission Dedication – Aligns work with JFS mission and strategies.
