Job summary

The USDA Forest Service seeks a Supervisory Grants Management Specialist to provide technical and administrative supervision to a team handling the Grants and Agreements program for a defined unit. The role oversees complex grant/cooperative agreements and ensures compliance across all phases from pre-award to closeout.

The position requires advising senior officials and external partners, establishing internal processes, and guiding staff to meet production and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Resolved complex grant and/or cooperative agreements, such as partnerships.
• Performed pre-award through closeout processes for complex cooperative agreements and/or grants.
• Established internal unit processes and systems for negotiating and administering grants/cooperative agreements (all phases).
• Facilitated compliance audits and resolution of any findings with agreements and/or grant recipients.
• Provided advice to senior program officials, internal customers and external partners on matters related to agreement and/or grants management.
