Job summary

Delaware State University seeks a 100% grant-funded EPSCoR Finance and Program Coordinator to lead administrative, financial, and operational tasks for the CIBER Center within the College of Agriculture, Science and Technology. The role interfaces with the College Finance Team, the Office of Sponsored Programs, and the Restricted Funds Accounting Office to ensure compliance and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• College level accounting, finance, and or economy courses.
• Strong accounting, bookkeeping, organizational, and planning skills.
• Willingness to remain knowledgeable of new financial systems, procedures, and best practices.
• Demonstrated strong project management/coordination skills with multiple partners and students.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and/or weekends.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Fundamental understanding of grants processes, insecption reports, and financial reporting.
• Ability to manage complicated scheduling and travel arrangements.
• Effective interpersonal and organizational and communication skills.
• Demonstrates an understanding and consideration of the differing needs and concerns of individuals with varying identities, cultures and backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Developing and monitoring detailed financial reports in alignment with institutional policies and EPSCoR program requirements.
• Support administration of mini-grants and student funding by assisting with budget development, review, and compliance.
• Provide leadership to manage daily financial operations including invoice processing, procurement, vendor payments, and meeting expenses.
• Coordinate with DSU Finance Team, OSP, and RFA to ensure regulatory compliance and timelines.
• Assist with program progress tracking and final reporting to EPSCoR Office.
