Job summary

Chandler USD 80 District Office in Chandler, AZ seeks a Coordinator of Federal Programs to plan, implement and direct all federally funded grant programs across the district, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and strategic allocation of resources to close achievement gaps.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in education or related field, with a master’s preferred, plus 3–5 years of teaching experience and extensive grant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Public Administration, or a related field required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of successful teaching experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience working directly with federal entitlement grants, including management, allocations, budgeting, and/or application process.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local grant laws and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze federal projects (ESEA Title I, II, III, VII, Johnson O’Malley) as related to student achievement.
• Assist district administration in planning the use of funds available to the schools through the various federal programs.
• Assist in developing budget recommendations concerning federal projects.
• Inform, interpret, and recommend to district administration the effects of current and pending federal legislation.
• Facilitate the development of applications and reports to federal and state educational agencies to ensure compliance for funding.
• Keep abreast of and inform district administration of changes in rules and regulations of the Arizona State Board of Education and state and federal laws concerning areas of responsibility.
• Make presentations on federal programs for parents, school staff and outside agencies.
• Assist in the coordination and training of department personnel as it relates to grants, budgets, and spending.
• Ensure advisory councils, task forces and/or implementation teams as required by the grants are implemented.
• Maintain positive relationships and communication with schools and departments, City of Chandler and other agencies.
