Job summary

Experience Champaign Urbana is seeking a grant management professional to coordinate with PIs and fiscal staff on funded projects, forecast budgets, and ensure compliance with university and sponsor guidelines.

You will review funds, approve purchases, monitor sub-awards, and manage cost share, acting as a liaison with campus and external offices to ensure proper funding and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with principal investigators and their fiscal support staff on the management of funded projects, including preparation of financial forecasts and advising on personnel budgets and expenditures.
• Review funds for integrity, accuracy, and allowability; move unallowable charges to appropriate funding source.
• Review and approve Emburse and iBuy purchases per budgets.
• Monitor sub-award agreements and payment processing; oversee anticipations accounts, no-cost extensions, and budget revisions.
• Track and verify cost share; serve as UIE point of contact with campus and other offices.
• Maintain data records to comply with matching fund/cost share requirements.
• Ensure administrative requirements for federal appropriations, cost sharing, and contracts are met.
• Review financial transactions for verification of funds and allowable costs; prepare for university accounting system.
• Serve as contact for SPA awards negotiators post-award.
