Job summary

The University of Illinois Extension, part of the College of ACES, invites applications for a Grants and Contracts Associate. Under the Assistant Director of Business & Finance, you will lead the full lifecycle of sponsored program administration for grants, contracts, and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with university, state, and sponsor rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics or a field related to the position.
• Three (3) years of professional grant pre- and post-award administration experience.
• Experience with federal agency grant processes in a university, public, or business environment.

Responsibilities

• Grant management: collaborate with principal investigators and fiscal staff on funded projects and budgets.
• Administrative tasks for Smith-Lever, EFNEP and RREA funds, including RFAs, Grants.gov submissions, and funding allocations.
• Support contract development, budgeting, and revenue recovery processes.
