Job summary

The University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking a Grants & Contracts Compliance Manager to address growing research compliance demands. You will oversee policies, templates, and processes to reduce risk and support efficient research administration across sponsored programs.

You will guide investigators and staff, coordinate audits, and ensure compliance with federal and sponsor regulations (e.g., 2 CFR 200, FAR).

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in research administration or related compliance fields.
• Experience interpreting and applying federal, state, sponsor, and institutional regulations governing sponsored research.
• Knowledge of regulations including 2 CFR 200, CFR, FAR, export controls, cybersecurity, IP, and data management.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a key resource to campus regarding research administration compliance areas and may supervise staff.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates policies and procedures related to compliance with federal, state, local, and/or university regulations.
• Assists principal investigators, researchers, administrative staff, leadership, and others to ensure institutional compliance with applicable regulations.
• Ensures institutional compliance related to audit coordination, conflict of interest, intellectual property, IRBs, export controls, effort, or other policies.
