Job summary

Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) is seeking a detail-oriented Grant Administrator (Post-Award) to manage the financial and administrative aspects of awarded grants and sponsored projects. This on-site role supports PIs while ensuring compliance with policies, sponsor regulations, and applicable laws.

The Grants Administrator handles post-award activities, analytics, reporting, and collaboration with ERP-Workday and Huron HRS, contributing to successful project execution and compliance across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, biology or computer science.
• Master’s degree a plus.
• Grant experience preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.

Responsibilities

• Ensure policies, laws and regulations regarding sponsored research are addressed.
• Set up third-party awards, sub-award invoicing and monitoring, effort reporting compliance.
• Post-award analytics and reporting, ERP-Workday and Huron HRS activities.
• Coordinate preparation and submission of progress reports, budgets and related documentation.
• Maintain and monitor scientific reporting schedules and engage investigators and admins.
• Interface with investigators to identify needs for prior approval requests (carryover, re-budgeting, no-cost extensions).
• Train staff in electronic grant systems and assist with funding information for annual reports.
