Job summary

Ms. Foundation for Women seeks a Program Officer for Grantmaking & Capacity Building to advance a unified programmatic strategy centering women, girls, and nonbinary people of color.

You will manage grantmaking for several portfolios, identify strategic opportunities, and collaborate with grantees and funders to achieve outcomes. You will also support capacity building programs offering small grants, leadership development, coaching, and organizational development for grantee partners.

Qualifications

• Experience managing grantmaking portfolios and drafting requests for proposals.
• Ability to monitor grantee progress and report on outcomes.
• Experience coordinating capacity-building initiatives and leadership development programs.
• Strong collaboration with grantees, funders, and movement partners.

Responsibilities

• Grantmaking: Identify strategic priorities, gaps and opportunities to advance safety, health and economic justice for women and girls of color.
• Build and manage grant portfolios, including identifying new grantees and recommendations on renewals.
• Manage grantmaking for multiple portfolios; write RFPS, review proposals, docket write-ups, and facilitate review meetings.
• Monitor grantee progress and outcomes; cultivate relationships with grantees, funders, and movement partners.
• Conduct site visits; stay abreast of trends in philanthropy and social justice movements.
