Job summary

ARES Corporation is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support the Wallops Range Contract at Wallops Flight Facility. You will manage procurement actions, ensure FAR/NFS compliance, and collaborate with program management, technical teams, and suppliers.

The role requires 3+ years in government procurement, familiarity with Costpoint and Maximo, and strong communication and analytical skills. This full-time position is based on-site with an anticipated September 2026 start date.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, finance, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of procurement or supply chain experience in government contracting.
• Knowledge of FAR and NASA supplements (NFS).
• Experience with Costpoint and Maximo purchasing software.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute procurement activities from requisition review to PO award.
• Manage purchase request workflow and approvals.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, NASA FAR Supplement, and policies.
• Support development of RFPs and RFQs.
• Evaluate supplier proposals for cost, compliance, and value.
• Negotiate terms with suppliers with program teams.
• Coordinate documentation for audits and contracts.
• Track shipments and inventory management.
• Monitor supplier performance and delivery schedules.
