Job summary

General Atomics in San Diego, CA, seeks a seasoned pricing professional responsible for proposal pricing, cost estimating systems, and audits across pre- and post-award activities.

You will compute cost factors, compile and analyze data to set price objectives, perform special studies, interface with internal groups and outside vendors, and prepare time, cost, and labor estimates. You will develop pricing spreadsheets and reports while ensuring compliance with FAR/CAS and company policies.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree and six or more years of experience in finance, accounting, or business administration in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have knowledge of costing and pricing concepts and standard practices.
• Experience negotiating and working in government contracting and solving moderately complex costing problems.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication, and computer literacy including spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Compute cost factors and prepare estimates for planning, bids, and vendor selection.
• Compile and analyze data to determine feasibility and price objectives.
• Conduct studies to develop standard hour and related cost data and cost reductions.
• Interface with internal groups and outside vendors to gather data and assess manufacturing costs.
• Analyze blueprints/specifications to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Prepare itemized material and labor requirements and cost data.
• Perform pre-award, post-award and fact-finding audits.
• Interpret FAR and CAS regulations related to pricing.
• Develop pricing spreadsheets and produce reports and graphs.
