Job summary

Divergent is seeking a Global Supply Manager, Programs & Production to manage supplier relationships, execute sourcing strategies, and ensure critical components are available for aerospace, defense, and automotive programs. The role focuses on transitioning from development to full-rate production with close collaboration across Program Management, Engineering, and Quality.

You will lead sourcing activities, manage outside processes, negotiate terms, and develop capacity plans to meet schedules

Qualifications

• Ability to lawfully access information and technology restricted by US export controls.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of sourcing, procurement, supplier management, or supply chain experience in program-driven manufacturing (aerospace/defense/auto).
• Experience supporting production programs through changing BOMs, schedules and demand, including shortages and recovery.
• Experience managing outside processes and processors (machining, heat treatment, finishing, coatings, NDT, or similar).
• Experience preparing suppliers for production ramps including capacity planning and alternate source development.
• Proven ability to operate where systems/processes are being developed, building practical tools and workflows for visibility.
• Strong commercial negotiation skills and experience managing supplier agreements, lead times, and risk.
• Experience utilizing ERP/MRP, PLM, and procurement systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Arena, Windchill) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical skills to track shortages, supplier performance, and cost trends.

Responsibilities

• Act as the sourcing point of contact for assigned customer programs across development to full-rate production.
• Translate BOMs, build schedules, and demand into procurement plans and adjust as designs change.
• Manage engineering changes and BOM revisions with suppliers, assessing cost and lead time impact.
• Own shortage management for assigned programs and develop recovery plans.
• Track part readiness for critical build events and provide visibility to leadership.
• Develop practical tracking tools (shortage lists, open-order trackers) and transition to scalable processes.
• Support production planning and S&OP discussions with supplier inputs.
• Lead sourcing strategy and readiness for complex program requirements.
