Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Sr. Manager - Key Components to lead global sourcing and supplier relationships while optimizing total cost of ownership across server components. You will partner with Engineering and Product teams to align procurement with roadmaps and drive improvements in a fast-moving environment.

The role requires executive-level collaboration, strong leadership, and a proven track record in hardware/software product management and procurement strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technical field or equivalent.
• MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain Management is highly desirable.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience leading cross-functional teams in hardware/software product management or marketing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for key components to ensure supply security and competitive advantages.
• Lead contract negotiations and manage long-term strategic relationships with key suppliers to drive value and performance.
• Analyze market trends, cost structures, and competitive forces to optimize procurement strategy and TCO.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to align procurement requirements with roadmaps and product life cycles.
• Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes using data analytics to enhance decision-making and efficiency.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to develop GTM strategy and support business-critical needs.
• Provide product subject matter expertise to sales teams and help drive customer success.
• Collaborate with the sales team to nurture customer relationships and business growth.
