Job summary

Supermicro seeks an experienced procurement and supply chain professional to lead materials management, sourcing, and vendor relations in a fast-paced environment in San Jose, CA. You will drive inventory planning and optimize component availability for new product introductions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Material Management, Manufacturing, or related field (preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in materials management, procurement, and supply chain operations.
• Prefer Mandarin speaker as needed to work with CM's in Asia.

Responsibilities

• Support new product development (NPI) with engineering and PM teams.
• Source, purchase, and negotiate high-quality components while managing long lead-time items.
• Manage relationships with global vendors, ensuring quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Obtain and analyze vendor quotations to ensure competitive pricing and alignment with product specifications.
• Plan and monitor inventory levels based on customer demand and company targets.
• Ensure effective forecasting and planning to maintain supply chain stability.
• Prepare inventory aging reports and provide insights to optimize stock levels.
• Identify and implement solutions to improve accuracy, efficiency, and resource optimization.
