Job summary

Ionis Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Director, Global Market Access to shape pricing and access strategies for US and select global markets. You will partner with US and ex-US teams and lead development of value dossiers and pricing policies.

You will coordinate with HEOR, Medical, Regulatory and Commercial teams to ensure payer needs are incorporated into evidence plans and market access decisions, with travel up to 15% as required.

Qualifications

• Expertise in global market access landscapes and HTA/payer considerations across markets.
• Experience in developing market access strategies and informing development plans to optimize US/global access.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Strategic thinking with proactive policy adaptation and stakeholder alignment.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of asset-specific global market access strategies with payer insights.
• Integrate payer requirements into clinical/evidence plans with cross-functional partners.
• Assess US and global pricing/reimbursement potential to support business needs.
• Lead scientific advice to ensure evidence for payer/HTA submissions.
• Create payer value propositions, global value dossiers, and pricing policies.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Medical, HEOR, Regulatory and others to understand payer markets.
• Manage external partners to conduct market research on access, value, pricing and competition.
• Advise Business Development on in-licensing/out-licensing opportunities.
