Job summary

Triumph Group in Ohio is seeking a Buyer to identify and qualify suppliers, research parts and materials, and purchase items necessary to support production schedules. You will manage RFQs, issue POs with approved terms, and maintain accurate lead times for assigned commodities.

The role requires evaluating bids, negotiating price and delivery, developing alternate sources, and monitoring supplier performance. ITAR/EAR compliance and US work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Three or more years of related experience; CPM preferred.
• Knowledge of purchasing and negotiating methods and general business operations.
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement.
• Ability to use standard business software and ERP systems (Syteline).
• Ability to negotiate effectively to obtain best price and terms.
• Ability to read blueprints preferred.
• ITAR/EAR compliance and US work authorization requirements for select positions.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recommend suppliers by researching potential suppliers and researching parts, equipment, services, and materials availability.
• Conduct supplier site visits and evaluate production capability, performance, and delivery.
• Prepare RFQs, issue purchase orders with approved suppliers, and maintain accurate lead times for commodities.
• Evaluate bids, select suppliers for cost-effective items, and negotiate price, delivery, quality, and service.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective actions for issues impacting production or delivery.
• Negotiate and settle claims and changes with suppliers.
