Job summary

TRIUMPH in Forest, OH is seeking a Buyer to join our Supply Chain team. You will identify and qualify suppliers, issue RFQs, and manage purchase orders to support production schedules.

Responsibilities include evaluating supplier performance, negotiating price and terms, and coordinating with internal teams to resolve issues. A BA in business or related field with 3+ years purchasing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field; 3+ years of procurement experience.
• CPM certification preferred.
• Knowledge of purchasing methods and ERP systems; Syteline experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints preferred.
• ITAR/EAR compliance and US work authorization requirements.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and recommends suppliers by investigating potential suppliers and materials availability.
• Conducts supplier site visits and evaluates production capability, delivery, and other criteria.
• Purchases parts and materials by preparing RFQs, issuing purchase orders, and maintaining lead times.
• Evaluates bids, negotiates price and terms, and develops alternate sources.
• Monitors supplier performance and facilitates issue resolution between suppliers and company teams.
