Job summary

Larson Maddox seeks a General Counsel to join its executive leadership team for a rapidly growing private equity-backed pharmaceutical company. The GC will serve as a key legal and business advisor across portfolio assets.

This senior role leads complex transactions, licensing, acquisitions, divestitures, and policy development, partnering with investors and senior management. Requires 15+ years of in-house life sciences experience.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of corporate and transactional legal experience.
• In-house experience in Life Sciences (pharma, biotech, devices) required.
• Strong drafting and negotiation of complex transactions (M&A, licensing, asset purchases).
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical supply chain and contracting practices.

Responsibilities

• Partner with corporate development and executives on new product opportunities and strategic transactions.
• Lead evaluation, structuring, negotiation, and execution of licensing, development, and acquisitions.
• Develop and implement internal policies and ensure regulatory/compliance readiness.
• Provide due diligence support for acquisitions, divestitures, and other corporate deals.
• Collaborate with finance, HR, operations, procurement on business and legal matters.
