Job summary

GVW Group is seeking a business-minded General Counsel to translate the company’s vision into actionable legal strategies across its portfolio. This hands-on role requires strategic thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to deliver timely legal execution that drives business outcomes while mitigating risk.

You will lead corporate governance, securities, investments, and labor law matters, partnering across the organization to ensure compliance and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of 20 years of legal experience with corporate law.
• Proven track record as a General Counsel or senior legal executive.

Responsibilities

• Provide counsel to the senior management on legal matters.
• Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to mitigate risks.
• Ensure adherence to financial regulations and securities laws.
• Structure investment funds in compliance with legal and tax requirements.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and FTC/Franchise Rule.
• Provide legal counsel on governance, decision-making, and risk management.
• Oversee corporate governance practices and document preparation.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements.
• Coordinate with external counsel and represent the company in legal proceedings.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks across the portfolio.
